Hey Ox, love the training! Dry fire has really helped my accuracy!

Question how many lumens handheld light do you recommend?

      • Ox

It depends on the candela, and several factors. As an example, I’ve got an 1100 lumen light by my bed, a 1000 lumen light in my bump-in-the-night belt, and I normally carry a 200 lumen light. If you go for a higher lumen light, I’d stick with Surefire, Streamlight, or other top brands because of how much more efficient and durable the circuitry and switches tend to be.

      Very nice lesson.
I train every day, one of my night drills is to use the laser trainer blue gun in the backyard with the lights of
using the b.o.b. dummy as target , all I can see is the outline, what I have noticed is that once you learn body alignment the sights are irrelevant .
I don’t use a flash light for this drill because I would not want to give my position away.
With that said I understand there is a place for a flash light.

I really liked this one OX, it seemed easy for me for some reason, my eyes and hurt so bad because I had cataracts removed and lens put in about 5 yrs ago and they never have been right. But I am loving your classes. They get to the real heart of shooting and the physiological of the “WHY”. Thank you again.

I was checking the night sights on my edc gun yesterday, needless to say you can’t see them in the dark. I have a Viridian 5xl on my home defense gun. Great video, I personally prefer weapon lights over flashlights (one less thing to find, or hold), but still good practice in case the weapon light quits.

So I own a Smith and Wesson Shield and am considering upgrading my sights and putting in night sights and a laser/flashlight combo. Do you believe that investing in nights sights and a laser/flashlight combo for a concealed carry gun is worth the money? and if so do you have any suggestions on what to look for? Thanks

Just curious. Watching fast shooting by several guys on the ads. What caliber or they shooting. Im impressed on how quickly they come back on line after each shot. Haven’t started live fire yet so hopefully these techniques will help me there. .

Those are all shot with 9mm…mostly 124gr.

I have a laser on my XDs, while in my home I would have several options, I knew a little on the flashlight techniques, do you have any suggestions toward this drill with a laser on my pistol? Just curios? Maybe even a tip towards when I should engage my laser on (a CT laser guard) actually where the button is, with a proper grip it’s hard not to engage the laser unless it’s off manually. I usually have off for drills and this is my 1st laser.

I LOVE lasers. As a general rule, it’s OK to have your laser on anytime you have your flashlight on. If you want to hide where you are, keep it off. If it’s advantageous for you to have it on, squeeze that grip. If the bad guy knows where you are, then leave it on.
